This well water softener combines the trusted Fleck technology with KDF85 MediaGuard to remove hardness, iron, sulfur, manganese, odors, heavy metals, and other contaminants in one system. Perfect for well water, it ensures clean, safe, and great-tasting water throughout your home.

Key Features:

  • All-in-One System: Softens water while reducing iron, sulfur, manganese, odors, chemicals, and heavy metals

  • Mineral Tank: 9"x48" (color may vary), preloaded with 1 cu ft 10% cross-linked cation softening resin

  • Brine Tank: Includes safety float

  • Metered Softener Valve: Fully programmable Fleck valve

  • Plastic Bypass Valve: Standard 1" (3/4" available upon request)

  • Transformer: Included if needed

  • KDF85 MediaGuard: Reduces iron, sulfur, heavy metals, inhibits bacterial growth, and prevents scale formation

  • Gravel and Distributor Tube included

How It Works:

  1. Water flows through the gravel bed, filtering large debris and sediment

  2. Fine mesh resin removes hardness and iron

  3. KDF85 MediaGuard reduces iron and sulfur, controls bacteria, and improves water taste

Performance:

  • Removes hardness up to 50 GPG

  • Removes iron up to 6 ppm (mg/L)

  • Removes hydrogen sulfide up to 2 ppm

  • Filters chemicals, odors, and sediment

Installation Notes:

  • Some water may still require additional iron filtration

  • If bacteria is present in your water, a disinfection system may be necessary

Shipping & Return

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
