How It Works:
Hard water flows through the resin tank, where calcium and magnesium ions attach to the resin beads while sodium ions are released. When the beads are saturated, the system enters a 3-phase regeneration cycle: backwash, recharge with brine, and rinse.

Sizing Guide:

• Calculate hardness in grains per gallon (GPG). Convert ppm/mg/L by dividing by 17.1.

• Adjust for iron/manganese: multiply ppm by 4 and add to GPG.

• Example: 4 people, 10 GPG hardness, 2 ppm iron → ~5,400 grains/day. 24,000-grain system regenerates approximately every 4–5 days.

• High iron/manganese levels may require more frequent regeneration.
