This well water softener and iron filtration system combines the trusted Fleck 5600 SXT softener with KDF85 MediaGuard, effectively removing hardness, iron, sulfur, manganese, odors, heavy metals, and other contaminants. Ideal for well water, it delivers cleaner, safer, and better-tasting water throughout your home.

System Features:

• Mineral Tank: 1.5 cu ft upgraded 10% cross-linked softening resin (preloaded)

• Brine Tank: Includes safety float

• Fleck 5600 SXT Metered Control Valve: Fully programmable LED control

• Plastic Bypass Valve: Standard 1" male-threaded yoke (3/4" available upon request)

• KDF85 MediaGuard: Reduces iron, sulfur, heavy metals, controls bacteria, and inhibits scale formation

• Gravel and Distributor Tube included

How It Works:

1. Water passes through the gravel bed, filtering large debris and sediment.

2. Fine mesh resin removes hardness and iron.

3. KDF85 MediaGuard reduces iron, sulfur, heavy metals, and odors while inhibiting bacterial growth.

Performance Capabilities:

• Removes hardness up to 50 GPG

• Removes iron up to 6 ppm (mg/L)

• Removes hydrogen sulfide up to 2 ppm

• Filters sediment, chemicals, odors, and other contaminants

Installation Notes:

• Drain line and connection hoses are not included but can usually be sourced locally

• Ships in two packages: one containing the mineral tank, the other the brine tank with valve and fittings
