Overview:
This complete whole house water softener and conditioner combines a high-capacity water softener with KDF55 MediaGuard technology to remove chlorine, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, and inhibit bacterial growth — all without chemicals. Perfect for city water, this system delivers safe, clean, and softened water throughout your home.

System Features:

  • 12"x52" Mineral Tank with 2.0 cu ft upgraded 10% cross-linked cation resin (preloaded)

  • Fleck 5600 Timer Softener Valve with 24V transformer – fully programmable LED control

  • KDF55 MediaGuard – reduces chlorine, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, and inhibits bacterial growth; eliminates the need for a carbon filter

  • Plastic bypass valve (1", 3/4" optional)

  • Brine tank with safety float (salt not included)

  • Gravel, dust cover, and distributor assembly with upper and lower screens included

How It Works:

  1. Hard water enters through the "in" port and flows into the resin tank.

  2. Water passes through the resin, exchanging hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) for sodium ions.

  3. Softened water travels up the riser tube and exits through the control valve to your home.

  4. When the resin becomes saturated, the system regenerates automatically using a brine solution from the brine tank, flushing hardness minerals down the drain and restoring the resin’s sodium charge.

KDF55 MediaGuard Benefits:

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
